Historic of Cresswell Industries Inc.

It is under the inspiration of Mr C.T. Cresswell, an English entrepreneur, that the name of Cresswell enterprise has been founded in the early 1920's.

Being mostly involved in importing insulation materials from the United States and, this kept a small factory manufacturing steel frame for windows for the London area.

In 1929, a new English partner, allowed the expansion of the company in Montreal, its banner became Cresswell Pomeroy Ltd., the name of the two families now partners in business. At this period, the vocation of this factory was to manufacture metallic components for the fenestration sector, the transportation as well as the architectural needs. This new factory completed the range of products manufactured from England and facilitated its penetration in the North American markets.

This enterprise became quickly a pioneer as well as a mark of confidence for the fenestration market in Canada. We still find today, balance systems to the windows of our schools and hospitals that were made from Cresswell Pomeroy Ltd.

It is in 1951 that this same company was moved in the Quebec Eastern Township area. However, a young Canadian entrepreneur from the Montreal region with a promising vision, decided in 1985 to acquire all rights of the company. Mr. D. Bryan Jones decided to invest in this company bringing a team that will develop and innovate the manufacturing of steel components. It was the start of a new era.
